Founded in 1976, the New Jersey Chapter of the Huntington's Disease Society of America assists affected families and supports research to find a cure. It is the only voluntary health agency dedicated to serving Huntington's Disease (HD) families in New Jersey and sponsors family services, education, and research.

The Chapter is affiliated with the Samuel L. Baily Huntington's Disease Family Service Center at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. The Chapter provides services for HD families at three sites across the state: Newark, Piscataway, and Stratford.

The Chapter exists as one of many chapters affiliated with the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA). The mission statement of HDSA is:

We are committed to promoting and supporting research to find a cure, helping families and communities affected by this disease and educating the public and health care professionals about HD.

The Chapter invites you to participate in our fight to cure this devastating disease and to service those coping with it. There are many ways to help: make a donation, help at an event, join the Chapter's Board of Trustees, volunteer in the Chapter Office, and/or educate legislators about HD.

The Chapter welcomes any feedback you may have. We are here to assist in any way we can.
